MAI TAI

Invented in 1944 by Victor “Trader Vic” Jules Bergeron, the Mai Tai is one of the founding fathers of the tiki movement. The drink fell to the hands of mid century bartending, when pre bottled mixers entered the scene and the art of the cocktail was at its lowest. Now, the classic is being revitalized by a generation of bartenders who are doing it the way God intended.

If you already knew how to pronounce this drink, impressive! Gold star! However, no one knows the true recipe to this. It's the marriage of Brazil’s national spirit and sweet vermouth from Italian immigrants. Literally translated from portuguese to “the tail of the rooster”. Er-ehm…Cocktail. Brazilians have endless variations for this stiff drink. Here is ours!

Born in the late 70’s. One of the last great cocktails to come out of the long heralded tiki craze. It's so easy to make that you could do it at home- but don’t. We got that good ice.

Yes, a bourbon tiki drink! One of very few…but thats okay! You almost don’t need more than this choice. Crafted by Sandro Conti for the legendary Kahiki restaurant in Columbus, Ohio during the tiki-bar explosion of the 60’s. Want to vibe, but can’t drink rum? - you can- either way, here ya go!

SUFFERING BASTARD

Created at the Shepheard Hotel in Cairo circa 1942 by legendary barman Joe Scialom, this was the drink that fortified soldiers during the Second World War as they pushed back against Rommel in North Africa. And now, we get to support the drink’s history personally by using J Rieger gin, where the grandson of Joe Scialom works!
